As a Robotics Tech, Lead Tech and Senior Tech, I performed preventive, predictive and scheduled maintenance on Mig, Tig and plasma welding systems, spot welding, material handling robots and all related tooling, fixtures and equipment, extending the service life of existing production equipment in a fast paced highly automated and quality oriented production environment. Duties included robotic and PLC programming, PLC troubleshooting, working with touchscreen HMI panels, equipment from names around the world: Motoman, Fanuc, Diahen OTC, Omron, Allen Bradly Koyo and many more. I worked my way up to Senior Technician, a supervisory position with 5-8 direct reports. I then joined the "New Model Group" as a senior Engineering Technician. NMG is the in house engineering team dedicated to the design and implementation of new production processes with each new model year change. Projects included Mig and spot welding applications, material handling and flow applications, multiple cell production processes - including multiple robots per cell, multiple position servo motor driven pneumatic clamping automated fixtures and robotic parts manipulation, and material handling between cells. Also included developing, proving and implementation of process improvement driven by technology and providing technical assistance to our management 6 sigma students on their belt projects. is a worldwide supplier of electrical enclosures computer cabinets and server racks Technical Specialist - Robotic and Automation. I was the lead tech for installation of a multi-robot weld cells using ABB robots and Motoman robots. The ABB Design featured 4 robots 2 set up for Mig welding and 2 setup for plasma. All around a 2-position bidirectional multi-position parts clamp and manipulator. Maintaining this cell and a dual fixture weld cell were my primary responsibilities. Other duties included installation troubleshooting and maintenance of Salvagnini CNC panel builder automated punch and brake presses Trumph automated CNC press role form and laser welder. JWP is a major supplier of air reservoirs to the semi-truck and trailer manufacturers. Maintenance Tech - I worked on anything and everything from Facilities Maintenance and major repair of production equipment in-house manufacture of our own production equipment. JWP had an old Motoman 6 axis robot Arm with a Mig torch and rotation table fixture run by a Panasonic controller. Three new Fanuc Robots each with a turntable built and integrated 3 new cells.
