SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE Thirty-five years of experience in construction, construction management and project controls. Duties include Laborer, Instrument Helper, Electrical Helper, Instrument Fitter, Assistant Instrument Engineer, Warehouse, Quantity Surveyor, Procurement, Lead Quantity Surveyor, Cost Specialist, Office Engineer, Lead Estimator, Chief/Lead Estimator and Senior Commercial Manager. I have extensive training in the technical field and currently hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Master of Business Administration in Construction Management. General: Establish or confirm guidelines applicable to the project are met. Coordinate assigned project team members, ensure timely deliverabes, integration and efficient use of time and resources to meet project requirements. Examine risks associated with the work, proposed contracts and major changes. Estimating: Determines project scope definition and works with the engineering team and other sources to coordinate the required data to conform to the overall estimate plan. Prepares progressive levels of estimate from order-of-magnitude (parametric, top-down) to detailed (bottom-up), based on the latest data available, relative to the current phase of the project. Performs data analysis, identifies problems and makes recommendations. * Prepares engineering/construction budgets by studying plans updating specifications identifying costs for each discipline * Evaluates change orders by pricing changes to original scope of work, additions due to design change, and client request * Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors for analysis * Assist in the development of options for corrective action, to include performing an analysis upon various alternatives and presenting recommendations to contract and project management * Field work studies to include field measurement, cycle time checks and procurement assessments * Prepares written, tabular, and graphic reports that communicate contract / project cost and progress status periodically and as required.
