Highlights:

• In the first 6 months in role, served as a leader in the $100m acquisition of Grand River, led company to a successful IPO in November and completed several SEC filings between October and April including an 8-K, 10-K and 10-Q. • Served as the main point of contact for a KPMG-led public company readiness project which involved setting strict close timelines, drafting and implementation of internal control procedures as well as formalizing a monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliation process. • Successfully led GBS's efforts around 3 major divestments within Fuels North America. • Identified duplication of work between refinery finance staff and the shared service organization on monthly close process that resulted in the reduction of staff from 9 to 6. • Represented GBS as the global lead for the Mexico Fuels Retail expansion. o Created a complete, flexible finance organization that used contract staff to support the retail site growth from 0 to 500 locations in 18 months. Transformed this organization to a wholly BP trained and employed department. • Partnered with Fuels North America to progress major initiatives around new Management Information tools and cost reporting, including data lakes, Power BI and Tableau. • Led the GBS Americas efforts to successfully launch the US Pipelines Master Limited Partnership (MLP), including support for the Initial Public Offering, ERP enhancements and establishment of new processes to support ongoing operations. • Led Continuous refinement and improvement of the close process: o Dramatically improved the intercompany practice across U.S. R&M, achieving zero first pass Intercompany Differences (ICD's) in 80% of the 31 quarters under oversight. o Achieved Business Unit sign off on or before the workday 7 deadline for 31 consecutive quarters. • Successfully delivered SAP Finance Business Warehouse (FBW) global reporting consolidation system to U.S. Refining and Marketing. • Improved pre- and post-close communication with business units by implementing quarterly planning and lessons learned sessions. • Developed and rolled out new Balance Sheet Integrity (BSI) policy and process guidelines which resulted in a drastically improved control environment and compliance to SoX standards. • Shifted the focus of the Joint Venture team from transactional to value added analytical activities. • Developed an advanced Excel workbook to capture all planning and tracking for gas production forecast for 50 terminals, reducing the time to consolidate workbooks from 2 hours to 15 minutes. • Created and maintained an Excel database to track sustainable cost reductions across the business which identified millions of dollars of potential cost savings. • Led the Balance Sheet Integrity (BSI) project for BP Corporate - brought 100+ Balance Sheet accounts into compliance and ensured long term compliance of all owned BSI accounts. • Assisted in the initial drafting and served as owner of BP's internal Sarbanes-Oxley compliance documents for corporate processes.
