Although my career to date(and I am open to starting something new)has been working in automobile claims,the highlight for me has been working with people and helping people. Anytime that I can do something for someone else and help them in some way makes me feel good. Be it answering a questions,settling a claim,finding out information,or just talking to someone,giving comfort to someone who has been in an accident,as long as I feel that I have helped them in some way,then it is a highlight for me.

  • There were two components to the position. One was the customer service part,which involved giving assistance to clients,insurance companies,and co-workers. I always greeted everyone in a friendly manner and took the time to answer questions. The other part is administrative and in addition to verbal and written communication(the owner of the company also had me write leters for him,as he felt I wrote better than he did),I did the following:completed and wrote accident reports,maintained an accident report log,settled PD acident claims for clients,processed lawsuits and obtained status updates,managed judgments and revocations,procured,completed,prepared and copied paperwork,answered and handled telephone calls,both incoming and outgoing,distributed mail within the claims department,and assisted in general office work,which included filing and copies.
