December 11, 2014 Dear Sir or Madam: With my vast knowledge, and sixteen years of successful sales management experience in the DSD (Direct Store Delivery) business, I feel that I would be a STRONG asset to your team. I have held several positions in Operations, Sales and Account Management throughout my years of experience. As a Route Sales Representative, I acquired the skills to develop business at the street level, while increasing revenue and decreasing route return percentage. Excelling above my peers, I was promoted to District Sales Manager in September of 1998 at Hostess Brands Corporation. As a District Sales Manager, for Hostess Brands Corporation, I managed and coached up to fifty “union” Route Sales Representatives and two loaders for day to day operations. By managing the ordering of product, controlling route returns at a standard of 5%, maintaining accurate inventories of company property, and incoming payments all sales goals were met, and exceeded. Training of Route Sales Representatives to build relationships and establish goodwill with store level management in order to grow their business, and increase route revenues was also an essential role of the District Sales Manager. I was promoted to Account Manager in February of 2000. Responsibilities as an Account Manager included coordination and the selling of all programs to Category Buyers, Zone Managers, Market Managers, and Upper Management of all customers. The presenting of new items, promotional, and permanent display programs along with period, quarterly, and annual sales reviews, in order to gain market share and enhance sales revenues was another successful task completed as an Account Manager. Major Accounts involved Kroger (162 stores) Mid. South KMA, Wal-Mart (82 stores), Meijer (8) stores, Jay C Food (12 stores) Store, and Houchens (37 stores). Working as a team with my operational counterparts however, was also very instrumental in the success that I obtained in the role of Account Manager. Joining the Bimbo Bakery USA team as a Territory Sale Manager in March of 2009, has given me the opportunity to work closely with Independent Operators. As well, as continue to strengthen my ability to meet and exceed the customer’s expectations, and increase profitability. Enrolling in the Bachelors Program at Sullivan University has allowed for the continuing of my education in the field of sales management, with an emphasis on rational decision making. By earning an Associate Degree in Marketing and Management from Vincennes University, I quickly absorbed the vast knowledge of sales, marketing and management. Enlisting in the United States Army instilled the importance of teamwork in order to succeed in any situation, while being able to act as an individual as well, which has contributed to the essential factor of my success in the business world.
