Major Responsibilities

• Provide training and mentoring to all newly hired Account Managers. • Mentor all Account Managers on telephone skills and etiquette. • Perform as back-up to the Business Sales Group Manager during absences. • Complete and document a minimum of 40 outbound calls per day. • Maintain a minimum of 4 hours WTD (phone time) per day. • Maintain and prepare to discuss a 30-60-90 day pipeline of forecasted sales and renewals. • Work in conjunction with assigned Field Sales Representatives to qualify and close prospects generated through outbound calling initiatives, incoming inquiries through web advertising and marketing campaigns. • Have a complete technical understanding of and ability to articulate and demonstrate the Ames product line and value proposition. • Provide high visibility account management duties, which include, but are not limited to: o Answering incoming customer care service line. o Respond to customer inquiries regarding questions on existing orders. o Quote preparation including obtaining estimates (FENTRS). o Send customer shipping notification with the details on the shipment. o Work closely with the credit department as the customer’s advocate. o Enter credit requests and work with the credit department on invoice and credit hold issues. o Demonstrate one point-of-contact customer care approach to service existing clients. o Engage with manufacturing/production teams to support production management process and proactively manage client needs.
