• Introduced the "Cross-Dock" concept to our "Conventional" style distribution center environment by studying a competitor's distribution center, which had great early success in our industry, and then modeled our building after that style of center. This alone improved efficiency and productivity by 20%. • Level headed approach to empowering Teamsters Union environment led to increased employee relations and significantly reduced tensions in the work environment. • Re-engineering our employee work schedule to achieve optimal revenue to expense ratios, saved the company and client nearly $200,000 from 2010 to 2011 alone. • Drastically improved departmental efficiencies, and reduced expenses, in a down economy where tax revenue severely hampers city budgets. • Managed year over year increases in revenue during my first two years in the parking business. • Selected to participate in, and provide occasional input for, several Downtown Development Authority Board Meetings, City Operations Committee Meetings, Bricks and Mortar Committee Meetings and Mayor's Art Fair Committee Meetings. • Successful track record of managing up to 80 employees and overseeing the customer service aspects of 36 Sam's Club's in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. • Successful development of and responsibility for up to 80 associates and 8 departmental managers & supervisors in an extremely fast paced, high volume, freight distribution center. • Achieved "best in class results" with the overall P & L and budgetary responsibility for an operation of over $800,000,000 in yearly sales. • Successfully handled the transition of 2 facility location moves, while engineering a smooth transition of conventional, to cross-dock style warehousing environments, which greatly improved our efficiency and productivity. • Key management customer service liaison for 36 Sam's clubs in Michigan, as well as 4 transportation offices, including the Transportation Office for Wal*Mart & Sam's Club in Coldwater, MI. • Authored and developed our facility to the ISO 9002 International Quality Standard. • Authored job descriptions for 19 different positions in our facility. Also, able to perform all 19 positions from "Yard (semi-tractor) Driver" to "Shift Manager". • Actively involved in all associates’ promotional, disciplinary, and other HR related issues. • Perform the role of on-site Technical Coordinator, assisting with diagnosing and troubleshooting all computer based system issues for our facility. • Maintain an immaculate building, regularly rewarded by Regional Loss Prevention with a “Superior” pest control and building quality rating. • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of building maintenance, from janitorial to building repairs. • Oversight and responsibility for our on-site security team (Securitas).
