Dear Sir/Madam, For the past eight years I have been performing consulting work for a Steel Fabrication company in Phoenix Arizona. I was initially hired to re-organize their production department, then asked to stay and organize their Sales/Estimating department. I was able to increase their sales while maximizing profits. For the past three years I have been estimating for them from my home in Florida. However as of late they have lost key personnel and appear to be moving in different directions. I have over Forty years of experience in Steel Fabrication and Erection. Starting out on the shop floor as a Fitter/Welder, then as an Ironworker Connector/Welder in the field. I was offered a position in the drafting department where I became a Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Detailer/Checker. I then moved into Estimating where I eventually became Sales Manager. I was offered a partnership in a new start-up company in Edmonton Canada. I started this company from scratch, growing it to a very profitable company with sales of $10m. I sold my stock in this company only to start a company of my own. I moved to Florida in 1990 with the idea of partly retiring while performing consulting work. I did some detailing prior to everything becoming computerized, then concentrating more on consulting work. I have worked on all types of structures, from shopping malls, airports, office buildings, petro-chemical, pulp & paper mills, hospitals to solar structures, from $100,000.00 to $40 million. I have experience with "EJE Structural Material Manager" and Fabtrol, Excell and Word, and substantial experience in Structural Design.
